GenTech Framework

Hydro Tasmania's Generation Technician (GenTech) Framework offers world-class training with nationally accredited qualifications.

The Framework enables all field staff to have their skills recognized and enhanced through a structured series of qualifications in line with Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) standards.

It provides a career pathway for Apprentices, Non Trade, Trade and Operational Personnel to progress and develop within the business. We also recognise prior learning and training, which means you could be accelerated through the GenTech framework.

The Framework has been developed to: provide a defined pathway for career progression within Hydro Tasmania’s Generation team actively encourage our workforce to develop and improve their existing skills provide nationally recognised qualifications from Certificate II through to Advanced Diplomas establish high standards of performance for Hydro Tasmania’s Generation staff.
