Climate Change

Climate change is a key strategic issue for Hydro Tasmania and presents significant opportunities and risks to our future operations.

Hydro Tasmania’s aim is to be a carbon neutral generator by 2012. Our Climate Change Response Strategy has several elements:

• advocating for a favourable climate change legislative and regulatory framework
• developing additional renewable energy
• developing products and services to help customers meet eheri climate change mitigation obligations
• reducing our own carbon footprint.
